183 Lazy day

" Lazy day "

Today was a lazy day where nothing much got done. We slept, we got a takeaway and mostly we stayed indoors. It was a bit of a slump akin to releasing after tensing up. Christmas over and quarantine over and so a day to just relax.

It's the strangest of times. What I should be doing now is putting all the dark stuff behind me and looking towards a new brighter year. But I can't. We can't. Lolling ahead there is just uncertainty. We have a vaccine but infection rates sore. Amid this doubt we are now free from Europe and far from sure how that will pan out. In Scotland we have a government still wanting to break the country up further and add more doubt using any means possible to do it even if it means saying a no deal Brexit is a disaster one week and blocking that deal the next. My daughter and wife will be soon going out into covid hotpots. We are unsure when the children will return to school or even whether we want them too. It's impossible really to look forward with much hope and certainly confidence in this fog.

It's back under the duvet for most and worry about it tomorrow. It's seeing out the last days of the year. It's a slow dream like state which we thought might be clearing only to find a denser cloud of doubt followed behind.
