Just when it looked like we had cause for optimism with the Vaccine roll out another dark cloud appears. We shouldn't really be surprised. In the first wave when the curve started to come down we were warned of a 2nd and even 3rd wave like the Spanish Flu. There were also mutterings of offshoots and variants which given this is a global happening is to be expected. Still it's a bit gutting.
The biggest problem right now with this new strain is the lack of information. The British government and devolved governments look worried. Already they are backtracking on their Christmas promises. They are scaresd. We don't know what they are scared of. What are they not telling us? Is it deadlier generally? Is it deadlier to a younger group? Is it more contagious? Does it come at you more than once? Is the incubation period longer? Are there new symptoms we need to be aware of? So many questions and right now no answers. It is concerning.
