How the times have changed in so many ways. The covid19 pandemic means this Halloween there were no kids going door to door across the Isle but in my street thaws t is nothing new. Aside from that it's a very different time because time has pressed on too fast. It doesn't seem so long ago that at this time of year I would take to my blog to post pics of the kids' efforts in relation to their pumpkin carving - or melon carving latterly. But those times are gone for good.
No spooky faces and no games. My once young family is now a little older as the wheels of time turn too quickly. Where once there would be laughter dooking for apples there is now silence and disinterest. The oldest had to work, her younger sister walked the streets with her pal getting soaked in the dark quiet while the boy just sat playing his console. Just another night. A void though sort of remains. Maybe a nostalgic pang. Just a sign of the current times I suppose. Just another day.
