Anniversary

This week was my, and my wife's, 17th wedding anniversary. The flowers above unfortunately have nothing to do with that. Those were given to my wife on her return to work after a period off to deal with her heavy grief after her mum died. We don't really celebrate our anniversary any more. Mostly that is financial- another expense- but some of it is down to life not being that great and little desire to celebrate it. So really that is all to say about that. At one time after a long spell of doing nothing we were able to go out there for lunch but now that is not even an option as my world has shrunk again. It was take away then much to the delight of the kids.

Anyway as I said my wife returned to work but I don't think she is ready. She is still very raw. She really cannot accept the death of her mum who she was very close to and by all accounts her sisters are the same. They are all finding it hard. There is friction and their is anger fuelled by that grief. It is a shame. I can do nothing to ease it.
